Hello! I am Gia, & I am unequivocally a food person. Growing up in a stereotypically Italian American family in South Florida, food was always at the forefront of everything; and now even all the way here in Seattle, where my husband Chris & I have lived since 2015, food continues to be the center of our lives. He’s a great cook - formerly a chef - and I am a pretty strong home baker, if I do say so myself.

#BakeGiaBake was a hashtag I kicked off in 2016 on my Instagram to house all of my bakes as I continued on my self-taught baking journey. My goal for this site is share information about tools, techniques, cool ingredients, the occasional recipe, & what’s happening in the world of food.
